The type of personal information we collect 

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Your name and contact details if you sign up to our mailing list. This information is kept until you unsubscribe and for the period in which the shop is in business.

  • Your billing information (Name, billing address and purchase) will be kept securely only for as long as necessary for the record keeping and used solely for the tax record purposes.
    Your payment is processed via a third party of your choice: Stripe for Debit/Credit cards, Paypal or Google Pay, hence your card details will not be processed by us.

  • Some information in a codified form will be stored through cookies on Wix platform. This depends on your agreement upon entering the page for the first time (this agreement can be terminated by clearing your cookies in your browser options), an example of this is codified IP address data stored by Wix for statistical purposes.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • You wish to stay informed of Lakeside Art Shop news and have therefore signed up to the mailing list.

​

  • You purchased products via the online shop.

​

We use the information that you have given us in order to keep you informed of the latest Lakeside Art Shop news and to process your orders and keep financial records.

 

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

  1. Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting lakesideartshop@gmail.com or by hitting the 'Unsubscribe' button in the Newsletter

  2. Contract. The transaction of purchase and sale of goods requires us to process your information.

  3. Legal Basis. We need to keep our records for tax reference purposes.

 

 

How we store your personal information 

Your information is securely stored via our dedicated Wix and Google portals, using those companies' security protocols.

We keep billing information for two years and access it solely for tax purposes. We will then dispose of your information by deleting it off the portal.

 

We share the necessary billing information with particular artists who’s work you buy and who will be fulfilling your order. Those artists are obliged to follow this privacy policy.

We keep subscriber information for as long as the shop and the newsletter is running or until the subscriber unsubscribes electronically or lets us know in any other way that they would like to withdraw their GDPR consent. We will then dispose of your information by deleting it off the portal.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
